Aileen Francisco, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at UT Health East Texas Physicians on Fifth Street in Tyler who became a physician to help people. "My father always stressed that it's important to find a profession where you're in service to the community, so I chose family medicine."
She takes a complete approach to patient care. "So many things come into play when you're treating a patient. It's not just about their medications or their illness, but what's happening in their lives that affects the treatment process. I try to involve the patients and their families, and also help empower them to take control of their health."
