UT Health Tyler strives to continually enhance health services despite today’s challenges in the national healthcare environment. Our legacy of care is founded on these factors:
- We are committed to serving our community.
- We have a patient-centered philosophy. When the patient comes first, all else falls into place.
- We believe in advancing healthcare in home communities to the highest level possible.
In addition to primary and specialty medicine, this includes preventive care and wellness.
UT Health representatives from throughout the region regularly conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for UT Health Tyler. Through data collection and informative interviews with community members from all walks of life, these assessments lay the groundwork for continued outreach.
The Community Benefits Plan developed for each UT Health hospital further outlines our efforts to meet community needs. This process includes community collaboration with additional agencies who share UT Health's goal of a healthier East Texas. In addition, the Community Benefits Plan identifies areas for growth, any needed revision of services and community education on available health resources.
