Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome individuals who are compassionate, reliable and willing to commit to a set schedule. Volunteers must be 18 years old. No prior experience is necessary-just a heart for service!

Junior Volunteers
UT Health Tyler Volunteer is now accepting applications for its Junior Volunteer Program, designed for high school students interested in exploring the healthcare system and understanding the various roles involved in patient care. Participants will engage in job shadowing and volunteer service, earning at least 60 service hours over the summer.
Program Details:
- Duration: June 2 - July 31
- Eligibility: Students entering grades 10-12 in the upcoming fall with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (verified by a principal or counselor)
- Service Hours: Minimum of 60 hours over 10 weeks
Application Requirements:
- Submit an application using the link below by midnight on March 28
- Fill out and sign the consent form by midnight on March 28
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, coach, or religious leader
- Complete a drug screening and provide immunization records
- Participate in an interview
- Commit to a minimum of 60 volunteer hours during the program
