Michele Bosworth, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients of all ages at UT Health East Texas Physicians at North Campus Tyler. "I chose to specialize in family medicine because it allows me to focus on the health of the whole patient."
Dr. Bosworth explains how healthcare was her calling because she grew up as a caregiver. "As a daughter of an alcoholic, I had firsthand experience dealing with the damage it did to our family. In this situation, I became the caregiver for those around me to survive and eventually thrive."
She uses this experience to connect to her patients on a deeper level. "They all have experiences that impact their physical and mental health. I try to connect with my patients in such a way that facilitates them to a self-chosen path to better health."
